Ending 2011 with my Christmas nail designs

The first design was created with kleancolor's jolly holly and konad white with a stamp plate from bundles monster.

The second design was created using kleancolor's metallic red as a base and green grass mixed with konad white to make the holly leaves. kleancolor white and red used with a dotting tool to make the holly berries.

The final design was created with once again kleancolor's metallic red (base) and konad white for the stamping. Sinful colors white and black for the ring fingers snow man and some nail art paints for the face. The snowman on the thumb was made with a white stamp that was filled in, dried and restamped over with konad black for effect. Scarf dotted with kleancolors green grass.

That was just a quick run through for the nail designs. If you have any detailed questions just post a comment and I will answer you. Hope you all have a happy new year and never stop being creative! -e

Christmas Water Marbles

Hello Everyone! Yes it has been a while but I wanted to share pics of my winter water marbling nail designs that I have done recently. I did a christmas candy nail design and a winter wonderland nail design that will be posted below. So here's to the start of the Christmas 2011 nail design blog :-) Cheers!

I used some things that are very easy to find to do this design. I used Sally Hansen's Hard as nails Xtreme wear nail color in White on, Cherry Red, and Going Green. I used the water marbeling technique (which I promise to be put a how-to video up soon) and mad these pretty awesome candy swirl design.

This is my winter wonderland desgin alson using the same brand polish that can be found at walmart or walgreens that I know of for sure and the colors used in this are again White on and Blue it. I topped this design off with China Glaze's Fairy dust for a subtle gorgeous sparkle so it really has that glistening/glittering snow effect. I promise to soon get up a video on how to water marble and do a neat little design for you all. Thanks for the support and I will write again soon. ;-) -e

My favorite nail design

So I finally got China Glaze's "For Audrey" nail polish. It is an absolutely gorgeous color. I decided to put a flower design on it and I chose white. It came out to be so much more than I was expecting and I will definitely do this design again in the spring. To finish the look I placed a few jewels on each ring finger.

I thought this turned out really well and was excited to share with everyone. The flowers I stamped with were on plate BM-205 by the way ;-) Thanks everyone! -e

Wild Rainbow Nail Design

So I felt a little bold today and decided to go all out and try a totally new design that I've never done before. Using a eyeshadow applicator sponge I dotted on each color of the rainbow design over top of my base coat. I used 5 kleancolor nail polishes to achieve the look. The colors are as follows; blue- 113 sea, yellow- 85 funky yellow, purple- neon purple, orange- 19 neon orange, green- 24 bikini green, pink- 22 barbie pink.
After placing the colors on I used china glaze black mesh crackle polish on the thumb, pinky and middle finger on each hand. I finished it with a top coat.
On the ring and pointer finger I used my konad art nail stamp set with bundle monsters stamp plate number BM-223. I chose the zebra print with the konad special nail polish in black.I got the zebra print idea from luxurious nails on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=Ao6XlkLJ8Gc&feature=fvwp. -this is the link to her design. She does it free handed and I think that the stamp is a lot faster and efficient because both hands turn out the same. But she does a great job and free hand gives a one of a kind look ;)
So here is the finished project after the clean-up and removel of all the garb around my cuticles :)

So thanks for visiting and hope you all enjoy!! -e

Crackle Design

Welcome to November everyone. Halloween has passed and I have created a new design using chin glaze crackle polish black mesh. First I used a base coat followed by the color polish by kleancolors called mystic grass. It is a teal/turquoise kind of color and I really like it, plus turquoise is pretty popular in nail polish right now. Over top of the main color I used one layer of the crackle polish followed by china glaze fairy dust which gives it a really nice shimmer. The fairy dust also has hardeners in it! I finished the design with beauty secrets high gloss top coat. You can get these items (excluding the mystic grass by kleancolors) at sally's beauty supply. A great substitute for this color would be "for audrey" by china glaze. Hope you enjoy this design. It is quick, easy, and affordable :) See you soon -e
