Update to the Blog!

Welcome to Erin's Art Gallery!

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while. I am transistioning the look and feel of my blog to fit where I am in life right now. So, I am currently selling jewelry on Ebay and ETSY. This will be the new art addition to my blog. I am straying away from the nail art and pursuing more of the Jewelry/wire wrapping feel. For those of you who are new to my twitter account and access my blog, this is where I escape the everyday hustle and bustle to drift of into a world where nature inspries art. I am going to put a few pics of my jewelry in this blog and links to my facebook page as well as my ebay and etsy stores. Please feel free to contact me via Facebook, twitter (@ebethnky), or here.

A Valentine's Day Water Marble

Hello Everyone and Happy Valentine's Day!! <3 Hope everyone has had a great one. So I did a water marble design using China Glaze to celebrate this year.

So I wanted to do something fun and different for valentine's day this year. I wanted some color and not so classy this time around so I went for a fun water marble design.

I use the following China Glaze Colors for the design: White on White, (light pink) Something Sweet, (bright pink) Rich & Famous, (red) Poinsettia, (purple) Grape Pop.
I place a heart jewel on each finger in light pink, bright pink, clear, dark purple, and light purple for Valentine's day!
I used Seche Vite for the top coat and voila! A youthful, fun water marble for Valentine's day.

Hope you all enjoyed my design and I also have a video of me doing the design!! Look me up on youtube as ebeth34! Thanks everyone -e

Secret Peri-Winkle French tip Nail Art

Hello everyone. The Holidays are over and its back to doing random, fun nail art designs! I really love China Glaze's Secret Peri-Winkle polish and decided to paint my nails. Of course I couldn't just leave it at that so I dug out my stamping plates and chose a couple of designs for my tips. I used Bundle monster's stamp plates BM17 (for my fingers) and BM-220 (for my thumbs). Both patterns are very similar, but the 220 plate is a larger design and fit my thumbs better. I stamped with Konad special polish in white and dotted the bottom of the design with a dotting tool. I used Sinful colors Snow Me White for the dots. I finished the design with a coat of beauty secrets hardener and added a silver charm to each ring finger and thumb. Finally, I made sure everything was secure and dried quickly with a top coat of Seche Vite. Below are the pictures of my design and yes my very first Youtube video. I will place a water marbeling video soon ;)
Thanks for following and see you soon! -e

Ending 2011 with my Christmas nail designs

The first design was created with kleancolor's jolly holly and konad white with a stamp plate from bundles monster.

The second design was created using kleancolor's metallic red as a base and green grass mixed with konad white to make the holly leaves. kleancolor white and red used with a dotting tool to make the holly berries.

The final design was created with once again kleancolor's metallic red (base) and konad white for the stamping. Sinful colors white and black for the ring fingers snow man and some nail art paints for the face. The snowman on the thumb was made with a white stamp that was filled in, dried and restamped over with konad black for effect. Scarf dotted with kleancolors green grass.

That was just a quick run through for the nail designs. If you have any detailed questions just post a comment and I will answer you. Hope you all have a happy new year and never stop being creative! -e

Christmas Water Marbles

Hello Everyone! Yes it has been a while but I wanted to share pics of my winter water marbling nail designs that I have done recently. I did a christmas candy nail design and a winter wonderland nail design that will be posted below. So here's to the start of the Christmas 2011 nail design blog :-) Cheers!

I used some things that are very easy to find to do this design. I used Sally Hansen's Hard as nails Xtreme wear nail color in White on, Cherry Red, and Going Green. I used the water marbeling technique (which I promise to be put a how-to video up soon) and mad these pretty awesome candy swirl design.

This is my winter wonderland desgin alson using the same brand polish that can be found at walmart or walgreens that I know of for sure and the colors used in this are again White on and Blue it. I topped this design off with China Glaze's Fairy dust for a subtle gorgeous sparkle so it really has that glistening/glittering snow effect. I promise to soon get up a video on how to water marble and do a neat little design for you all. Thanks for the support and I will write again soon. ;-) -e
